Zeus Scooters are deploying the World's FIRST 3-wheeled electric scooter for the urban mobility sharing market. 

Why you should use Zeus Scooters

Zeus Scooters have developed a unique scooter with state of the art technology and reliability. Their scooters have an extremely low carbon footprint per kilometre travelled. Their scooters will reduce our transportation carbon footprint in urban areas. 

Why are they Carbon Champions

  • Their scooters are extremely efficient. The carbon footprint of a km travelled is less than 1% of that of taking car.
  • They use renewable energy which means they are more efficient than buying your own scooter and charging it off the electricity grid

What is the estimated carbon footprint of a Zeus scooter

The Zeus Scooter has an extremely low estimated carbon footprint of 0.1 grams of CO2 per Kilometre

 

Charging a Zeus scooter from the German electricity grid would have a footprint of 3gm of CO2 per KM travelled. 

This is based on:

  • Each scooter has an energy use of 1KW per 100 km*
  • This is equates to 0.01 KW per km 
  • The German electricity grid emits an average of 310 gm of CO2 per KwH
  • This gives a CO2 of 3 g CO2 per KM (310 * 0.01)


Zeus has an even lower estimated  footprint of 0.1 gm per KM

  • Zeus use renewable energy sources to charge their scooters. 
  • A renewable energy source can have  a footprint as low as 11-13 gm CO2 per KW. +
  • This would give 0.1 gm CO2 per KW. This is 30 times more efficient than running off the German electricity grid. 

Other characteristics 

  • Low weight of Zeus Model - 27 kilos. For comparison the kerb weight of a Tesla Electric car (Model S standard) is 1,609kgs. The Electric car is 60X the weight of the Zeus scooter which drives a lot of the scooter efficiency. The Volvo V60 T8 is 1,986 kgs (72X)

Solar powered scooters!

Zeus scooters  use renewable energy for charging their batteries. They have developed a localised solar powered solution for battery charging in partnership with Lit Trees and the ZDI in Bavaria. This means that Zeus is not tied to the carbon intensity of a countries electrical supply!

Paris Climate agreement

Using a Zeus Scooter can put you on track to meet the Paris climate agreement targets

  • The Paris climate agreement targets global per capita CO2 emissions of 2,300kgs per person to keep below 2 degree warming.
  • If we allocate 20% allocation of our Paris budget to transportation this would equate to 460 kgs
  • Doing 2,000km a year on a Zeus scooter results in 87 kgs of CO2 or 3.7% of your Paris Budget

Is Zeus the most EFFICIENT mode of transport?

Zeus is extremely carbon efficient brand. However with almost everything their are ways to further reduce your carbon footprint. Where possible it could be more carbon efficient to walk or cycle to that place you need to be!
